Biography

Ege Argüden’s passion for design began as a six-year-old in Istanbul. Encouraged by his curiosity and love for drawing and nature, he began sketching cars and teaching himself about design. At the age of 12, he earned an internship at Yonca-Onuk shipyard, working on vehicle design projects alongside seasoned designers.

During high school at Robert College, Ege expanded his experience with internships at renowned studios, including Volkswagen, Bugatti, and BMW in Germany, gaining invaluable insight into the car design industry. He later pursued a degree in Transportation Design at Art Center College of Design in California, where his graduation project earned recognition as the designer of Porsche’s future vision in the book Porsche: Excellence Was Expected by Karl Ludwigsen.

After graduating, Ege joined Ford Motor Company as an exterior designer, contributing to notable projects such as the Ford Bronco Sport, Maverick, and 7th-generation Mustang, where he employed biomimicry in the design process. He later took on a leadership role as the designer of the Ford Explorer Timberline and later was instrumental in Ford’s transition to electrification.

After nearly a decade at Ford, Ege returned to Istanbul to establish Argüden Design, a firm specializing in vehicle, yacht, and industrial design.
